Louise Sliney Architects (MRIAI) was established in 2009. We specialise in sustainable housing from one-off developments to extensions and renovations with a 100% success rate for planning permission applications.
Since graduating from UCD in 1999, Louise has collaborated with the practices of RKD Architects, Wain Morehead Architects and Duff Tisdall Architects. Projects in both the private and public sectors have ranged from one-off housing to community complexes, educational facilities, crèches and third level institutions.
We work closely with our Clients to ensure the delivered project meets and exceeds all their expectations for design, budgeting and programme.
We have developed a wide network with reputable construction professionals including contractors, quantity surveyors, planners and engineers thereby ensuring a range of quality experts are at hand to our Clients.
With a keen interest in sustainable design we constantly endeavour to keep up to date with developing technologies including passive house design. Louise is a qualified Passive House Designer and an accredited Building Energy Rating (BER) Assessor.

Louise is a Registered Architect under the Building Control Act of 2007 and is a member of the RIAI since 2004 and is professionally indemnified by Marsh Ireland.
Louise was elected as Chairperson of the RIAI Southern Region committee in 2014. The committee was established in 1924. The recent economic and social changes have resulted in a young, and young-at-heart, diverse group of architects working in the area. Regular events are well attended. These include at least 6 lectures from national and international speakers, an annual tour of recent and historic structures in the far-flung corners of the region . Louise also co-ordinates the Small Practice Forum which meets on a monthly basis. Orientated towards Principals of Small Practices and Sole Practitioners and is essentially a forum to discuss topical practice issues, problems and work collaboratively to assist one-another in our day to day work.
